This is a great book by Dione Lucas who was the predecessor to Julia Childs."The finest French recipes from the internationally famous Cordon Bleu restaurants and schools, adapted for American home cooking. " Part of my yearly challenge is to make at least one dish a month from this book. You can get it in the Corner Store

I have the second edition of this book from 1947. You can often find it on ebay or amazon. Your local used bookstore might even have a copy. A very thorough book and really a necessity of the Vintage Library. It covers Organizing the Home, Cleaning, Sewing,Tool Repairs, Money Management you name it, this book helps you out. Here is one for sale on EBAY for 6 more days (as of 13 January)
